Romanesco cast Paperweight by Tip Studio100% SSL Secure
These Romanesco paperweights are created By Daisy Freestone of Tipstudio. Each piece is individually cast out of plaster and painted. They are wonderfully satisfying to look at - (Fibonacci Sequence at its best!) and lovely to hold as well. Use them on a desk as a paperweight or simply as a decorative object. They are lovely for displaying jewellery on as well.
Quercus Gallery also shows Daisy's beautiful vessels made out of Jesmonite. Please contact us for more information and images.
Daisy says of her work:
'The theme of reuse runs through every seam of my work. It is a philosophy I live by and this continues both into my studio practice and the pieces I create. Most shapes start life as a found or recycled object; either the space within it or the shape itself. I then adapt this item (with much associated angst, a bit of swearing and quite a lot of clay and plaster) until I’m happy with it before taking a mould.'
